Batdance (The Batmix)•Batdance (Vicki Vale Mix) "Partyman (Music Mix)" is a mostly instrumental version of "The Purple Party Mix". |
The Batman soundtrack received heavy promotion and as a result, there were several remixes/alternate versions released from the album. The #1 hit "Batdance" had 2 remixes, each representing a different theme of the album track. "The Batmix" is a remix of the first section of the song and contains samples of "200 Balloons" and the outtake "Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic", as well as original lyrics. The "Vicki Vale Mix" was a remix of the second portion of the song, and contained a few new lyrical ideas as well. "Partyman" was treated with 3 different mixes. "The Video Mix" is self-explanatory. "The Purple Party Mix" begins with samples from previous Prince hits and is a very playful remix with mostly new lyrics. The "Music Mix" is for the most part an instrumental of the "Purple Party Mix" and contains a few instrumental solos. "Scandalous" was remixed into a 3 part seduction called "The Scandalous Sex Suite" which included portions for a guitar solo, new lyrics and conversations with Kim Bassinger.
